Instead of relying on age, we assess the teen’s current understanding and experience. Whether they’re in a relationship or not, the content is tailored to ensure it connects with their specific situation and resonates more effectively.
It’s not unusual for teens to say “I know about this already”; However, deeper questions often reveal gaps in their understanding of consent. Compared to online courses, reflective discussions AND real time dialogue help uncover these gaps and ensure teens can visualize and respond to real-life consent situations.
Following up with the Personalized Questions
This allows us to dig deeper quickly. Understanding has layers. Saying “I understand” can range from simply knowing the definition to being able to apply it in real-life scenarios. Real-time texting helps guide teens through these layers, enabling a deeper and more practical understanding of the topic.
