Facts + Life Skills =
Empowered Teen & Young Adults
Giving teens and young adults the right facts helps them understand the world, and teaching life skills shows them how to use that knowledge.
Both are needed to make good decisions and handle life confidently.
How it Works
EDGE Internship: Life Skills + Purpose in a Peer Community
What You’ll Experience
A peer fellowship built on real-life skills
The EDGE internship is a six-month, text-based journey where you’ll learn how to support others while growing yourself. You'll build skills across five zones , from mindset and emotional resilience to communication and aligned decision-making, all rooted in real-life situations.
Time Commitment That Fits Real Life
Small daily shifts, meaningful monthly growth
Spend 5–10 minutes a day engaging in discussion, reflection, or peer support. At the end of each month, participate in a 1–3 hour capstone challenge. Each month builds on the last, helping you create lasting habits — not just check a box.
Who is This
Really For
For college students and early grads ready to grow
EDGE is built for 18–30-year-olds seeking clarity, community, and practical life skills. Whether you're in college, grad school, or on a gap year, this is for motivated changemakers ready to rewrite what purpose and success really mean.
"I think this experience has taught me to pay closer attention to why I feel things the way I do. I still feel some of the same uncertainty I did before the internship but I do think the tools we've learned have helped me categorize them rather than being scared of them collectively."

May Cohort 2025
"Yes, I see myself in a much more positive light. I have struggled for years to overcome anxiety, depression and all the hurt. The self-reflection, journaling and activities in which we interact with each other has helped me dig within myself and try to heal. So I am very thankful for this internship, I feel safe."

May Cohort 2025
"I've started slowly noticing how much my mindset impacts the way i handle challenges. Im beginning to see mistakes as part of learning instead of proof that i'm not good enough. I also feel more understanding towards others, realizing that everyone is working through their own stuff."

May Cohort 2025
"This past month has helped me see myself as more capable and resilient than I initially believed. Engaging with real-world challenges and connecting with others in meaningful ways reminded me of the importance of empathy and collaboration. I’ve also started to view my future with more clarity and purpose—recognizing not just where I want to go, but how I want to grow along the way. Thank you for creating a space that encourages both reflection and action."

If you are interested in being on our wait list for our 3rd cohort, please send us an email.
Most of it fits into your daily routine. Expect to spend 5–8 minutes a day on reflection prompts, peer support, or coaching messages. At the end of each month, we have a mini-activity that takes about 1–3 hours a month. It’s low lift, high impact, built for students with real lives and real schedules. Many of our past interns are surprised with how much they learn with such little time commitment.
100% remote and text-based. No Zoom fatigue, no awkward meetings. You’ll connect with your cohort and mentors through chat and guided discussions, so you can grow on your own time, from anywhere.
You’ll engage with prompts that help you reflect, give peer feedback, complete short growth missions, and participate in monthly skill-building projects. Each month builds on the last, helping you level up in five key zones: self-awareness, emotional resilience, communication, decision-making, and aligned action.
You’ll walk away with a Peer Health Fellow certificate, a letter of recommendation, and a real portfolio of the work you’ve done : reflections, challenges, and projects. More importantly, you’ll leave with clarity, confidence, and tools that actually help you navigate life and leadership.
EDGE is for 18–30 year-olds who are ready to grow. You don’t need to have it all figured out, you just need to be curious, open, and willing to reflect. Whether you’re in college, taking a gap year, in grad school, or somewhere in between, this space is for you.
No. EDGE is not therapy and doesn’t replace professional mental health care. But it is a space that supports emotional health, growth, and skill-building — and we often help interns clarify what kind of support they may need beyond this program.
EDGE teaches the life skills no one talks about — the ones that make everything else work better. You’ll move through five key zones of personal growth, each one building on the last:
-
Zone 1: Self-Awareness
Learn to understand your own thoughts, emotions, and patterns — in real time. This is where you start to see yourself clearly, without distortion. -
Zone 2: Emotional Resilience
Develop tools to manage stress, pressure, and setbacks. You’ll learn how to pause instead of react, and recover without losing yourself. -
Zone 3: Social Intelligence
Build better relationships through assertive communication, boundaries, empathy, and clarity — especially in moments that feel hard to navigate. -
Zone 4: Decision-Making
Cut through confusion and make choices that align with your values, not just pressure or fear. Learn to trust your process. -
Zone 5: Aligned Action
Turn all that growth into meaningful momentum. You’ll clarify what matters most to you, set goals that reflect your truth, and move forward with purpose.
Each zone prepares you for the next, like leveling up in a game — except this time, the game is real life.
